Probably THE worst dinner I’ve had. We had pre-arranged their 3-course Signature Menu the private dining-room for a party of 8. 1. Food was mediocre at best. No one shared details of the menu with us. I was the only one that knew given I’ve arranged dinner. 2. Service was absolutely horrible and negligent. No one checked on us for over 60 minutes while we were waiting for our mains. 3. It took over 2.5 hours to finish our dinner (3-course meal) 4. We were served a different dessert and, upon confronting them, they mentioned they’ve run out of it. 5. No communication at all throughout the night. 6. Restrooms were a total mess. They stopped working. 7. For full visibility, they offered a discount to our bill (20%) which accounted EXACTLY to the amount restaurants generally charge as tip for a party of 6 or more. HOWEVER, a “MISTAKE” was made and an additional 8-course meal to the bill was added. Suspicious, don’t you think? I had the opportunity to speak with the head chef listed on the menu via Instagram. He’s apparently fully cut ties with the restaurant because of mismanagement and the person running the kitchen is a huge disappointment.

We sat at the bar for a drink before our reservation and this was by far the best part of the evening. Our female bartender, whose name we sadly didn’t get, was fantastic. Knowledge and great service. We sat for our reservation and it took 15 minutes before we saw anyone. Our waiter finally arrived and his first words were “are you ready to order?”. We (party of four) expected a more well coursed experience where the waiter welcomes us, started us with water and drinks and then explained the menu. This was definitely not the case. The time between appetizers and mains was so lengthy they brought us a complimentary additional appetizer. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous… but the food was underwhelming and the service even worse.

Sylvain P was amazing phenomenal!!! The suggestion and attention to detail in what we said and likes was out of this world!!! Thank you so much!!! I will recommend to many friends! My wife celebrated her 30th birthday!!! You made it memorable!!! Also, a big thank you to Thomas the owner!! We felt like family at your restaurant!

My dining experience at l Amour was outstanding! The ambiance was cozy, and the service was excellent. Highlights included the perfectly cooked Lavender Breast Duck and the divine Millefeuille. Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-notch French cuisine in Los Angeles.
