American Social - Tampa

I ordered the chicken quesadillas because there weren’t many options to choose from being that I do not eat pork or beef. I wasn’t disappointed at all with the quesadillas. Very large portion and I couldn’t finish it all. Beautiful ambiance and aesthetics.

UPDATE FROM 3/11/24: So once again we made our way for my bday dinner to American Social. Figured we give it a second try. We had a 630pm reservation on the patio. This time was 100x better than our first debacle, so I wanted to update my review. Let's just face it first and foremost, it's a hopping place for young and older folks alike. It can be very busy but that's normal. Since we were there on a Monday, it wasn't as bad it terms of crowd. We have a lovely spot covered on the patio to watch the sunset and enjoy our meal. Our waitress Maya was amazing! She was so attentive and kind. The music was loud but not overwhelming that we were yelling at one another. The food this time came out promptly, nice and hot. I would def recommend American Social for a fun night out, and recommend sitting on the patio as its so open and inviting, allowing sound to disperse. Shout out to Jason who replied to our first review, welcoming us to come back and try again, because I'm glad we did. _______________________________________________________ Review from 3/11/23: Let’s talk about it….I made a reservation for 7pm on a Saturday. Okay guaranteed it’s going to be busy and insane. We prepped for that. I will make one recommendation TURN DOWN THE MUSIC at least until 10pm. I felt awful yelling, straight yelling at our waitress and you could see she was struggling to get our orders. Now while it was too loud, the service was subpar. We were left for 10mins waiting on drinks, then another 25-30mins before our order was taken. I get it…super hectic and busy. However, the food came out luke warm. Sooooo that was upsetting. I heard from several ppl that it was a top place in downtown and for me it was average. Although…..I want those croquettes again, so we will be back in due time…maybe opt for brunch. Other than that…the vibe was okay and location insanely busy.

We were a large group and thankfully we made reservations because that place was packed. It was brunch time. Noisy atmosphere but enjoyable. The service was on point; our server was great and so patient with the difficult members of the group.

Sunday brunch with a group today was lovely! PJ was a terrific server, and I was really impressed with the balance of his attentiveness while not being intrusive. This was my first time having brunch there, but I've been a few times before for dinner and drinks. Today I had the BBQ brisket Benny, a side of broccoli and a mimosa. The flavors, service and music were all enjoyable. American Social always delivers a great view and a lively atmosphere. (The salad picture is from my dinner visit a couple weeks ago. Loved the fried goat cheese and freshness!)

We had a private party at the venue. We had a great time. The food was wonderful.

A very busy restaurant. Many locals and tourists. By the marina. Parking below ground level garage.

Had some good bud light and enjoyed the time
