Went got my food fast, I got in my car you can tell food that’s been sitting. Good thing they did replace it made it fresh. The fries was hot and good the chicken not so much I could smell the chicken smell on it still after that I basically tossed it. But I did eat the fries. Also the lady at the front was nice.
This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an restaurant. Upon walking in, I waited in a short line and engaged in my order with what I thought was a nice older woman, greeting each other semi-cordially and exchanging warm smiles as any two decent humans would. I promptly ordered 2 6 piece meals: one hot honey for my friend and one lemon pepper dry for myself. Although it was a little difficult communicating as it seemed as though English was not her first language, I was patient with her as she rushed me through my order, and gave me my order number to wait. After a lengthy wait, my order number was called and I approached the counter to get my food, seasoning at the counter as you usually do in an American Deli. Bringing the food to my friend they notice that their order is hot lemon pepper rather than hot honey (which is a problem because they hate lemon pepper), so I take it back inside (untouched) to let them know that the order was wrong. The treatment I received from this point on was completely uncalled for. After kindly telling one of the team members the order was wrong, I guess the cashier overheard me and began yelling across the whole store in a disgustingly harsh, disrespectful tone that, "HE ORDER HOT LEMON PEPPER!" I was taken aback, especially since I was being so nice. Additionally, I would never order lemon pepper for the individual I was with because I know how much they dislike it and I've never seen them eat lemon pepper. I rarely have problems at restaurants because I recognize how difficult the industry is and my patience with the staff reflects that, so I did nothing to incite this. I ensured her that this was a simple misunderstanding and there was no need to engage in this manner with me. She refused to listen and continued to repeat her statement in a completely inappropriate manner. I assured her that I was not trying to take advantage of the restaurant after I asked to speak to a manager to which she responded she was the owner. I simply wanted what I ordered. She refused to do anything to remedy the situation. I will never forget the service I received at this restaurant. I encourage everyone I know to avoid this establishment. To be treated like this as a black man in a neighborhood that is predominantly black by an Asian owner was ridiculous. If you are going to profit off of us, at least treat us with respect. She refused to have a civil conversation. Save yourself the stress. Don't go here. There is a better American Deli one minute away with a better health score, nicer people, and better service.
