Amelia’s 1931 is a small cozy restaurant, dark lighted with a nice ambiance serving Cuban cuisine infused with Peruvian and Korean influences. Nice place but the incredibly loud music doesn’t allow you to hold a conversation. Don’t expect to walk in and be seated because you see empty tables. Reservations are required! Overall food is good but portions are small. Drinks are good but small pours for the price. The concept is good but doesn’t warrant the high prices. I think this restaurant can get better results with these prices in Miami Beach or Key Biscayne on the water or even in Coral Gables. 022724

Went for dinner last night and had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the wine selection was great and our server Priscilla was awesome. The host, John, was nice enough to accommodate a booth for us even though we were only two. That was very nice and greatly appreciated especially since it was on a busy Saturday night. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this restaurant to everyone. I live in the area and I’m happy to see cool restaurants like this popping up. Check this place out! I promise you won’t regret it.

My husband and I came to have dinner and the hostess Jonny was blatantly rude. It was Saturday @ 7:00pm. He told us that he only had availability for the bar because we didn’t have a reservation. When we walked in, we saw ONLY 2 occupied tables. The rest of the tables were empty. This was our cue to pick up and leave. We thought we were going to have an enjoyable dining experience and left very disappointed due to the lack of customer service/management skills.

This restaurant is all about atmosphere and service. The jazz trio we got to enjoy this Thursday was pure luxury. Attention and service are exceptional. The food is mediocre at best. The appetizers, pork belly and anticucho skewers were cold, the skewers meat had an aftertaste like gas from the grill charcoal liquid igniter. The entree, sirloin with fries, the meat was bland, chewy and totally cold. The dessert , the ambience and mainly the live music saved our anniversary celebration. This is a place for one time visit.

Great experience, starting from when you come in through the doors and are greeted by this amazing hostess, which is dressed for the ambiance and is very charismatic. Jazz music is playing in the background. You really feel you're in 1931.

I went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and this is now our favorite place. Parking is perfect, vibe is unmatched but our waitress Evan made it even more perfect. We got there a bit earlier and we sit at the bar, which was also another experience. Then we got our table and Evan’s nailed it with all his recommendations. This place is a combination of PERFECT food and AMAZING service, from the host, bartenders to waitress. Definitely coming back! I read some “low stars” reviews but please you need to try this place ! Very unique in Kendall!!!

This restaurant is really in another level..Our waiter Evan was excellent and Steph the manager was really welcoming..can't wait to return
