1. Half cooked fish, one side was cooked, one was raw, smothered in tahini to the point where you can't tell what you are eating. 2. Terrible service, so much commotion and running around, zero efficiency. Unfriendly overall, except one waitress. Judgemental stare down at families with kids. Clearly unwelcomed. 3. This is a restaurant wannabe, could do well for passing by tourists but not for consistent crowd. 4. Oh, and pita bread. During dinner service, you would expect some bread before the food. Not every table got so lucky. I won't be going back.
When it comes to quality and authenticity Amar Mediterranean Bistro stand out as my absolute favorite place to dine in all of South East Florida. It’s befitting that it’s located in the artsy Atlantic Ave location but even there amongst so many dining establishments it has no rival. Its small quaint atmosphere mirrors experiences of Greece, Turkey , Sicily, Venice, or Lebanon. Please experience this wonderful place for yourself.
My husband is Italian/Lebanese and he said that the food here was so reminiscent of his Grandparents and Aunties cooking. We love it! The owner is always super nice and attentive. The service is excellent. And the food.....mouthwatering!
Very good traditional Lebanese cuisine & fresh made bread. Thoughtful wine list with many good wines from the Beqaa Valley. Friendly service and very busy. Make a reservation.
This was the third time getting take out from Amar. I grew up eating homemade Lebanese food. Tabouleh, rice pilaf and hommus were delicious buttttt very surprised the grape leaves were missing the stuffing and the chicken kabob were very very dry for the second time. Very disappointed
Stopped in for a quick bite while walking down the boulevard. Ordered a mixed grill sampler plate for two. Plenty of food for at least three people! Service was excellent. Food was amazing. As usual, Amar is never a disappointment.
My wife and I recently went for a date to this place, and it was literally one of the best meals I’ve had in years. I haven’t had Mediterranean food this good since I was actually in the Mediterranean. The food was so good I was getting emotional, as I hadn’t experienced the wonderful tastes and smells of the dishes there since I was in the Mediterranean almost six years ago. Everything we ate—from the pita bread that we watched them bake fresh, to the hummus, to the labneh, to the falafel, to the (unreasonably good) fries, to our chicken and lamb entrees, were excellent, and we loved every bite of it all. We also want to brag on our waitress, Sarah, who was very friendly and helpful, and seemed to know exactly what we needed before even we did. It’s become my new favorite restaurant, and we can’t wait to go back!
