Amalfi Cucina Italiana - San Marcos

Amalfi Cucina Italiana is easily a 10/10. My favorite place when I come to Carlsbad. Tonight, we had Wes as our server. He was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the different types of pasta offered. On our way out, we were thanked by an incredible table of Amalfi workers who I assume might have been with the owner. The whole group had the most contagious energy and made us smile. Thank you to this restaurant for making our first night in Carlsbad an incredible experience!

Amalfi Cucina (upstairs main Restsurant) is the B.E.S.T.!  We have been multiple times & not only is the food delicious & authentic Italian, but the staff is Attentive, Friendly & Fun!  Pasta is delicious with freshly made noodles of your choice & the sauces are light, yet SO flavorful!  The pizzas are to die for altho tonight none of us had pizza. Salads are unique & very flavorful. Michaelangelo  was our waiter once again this evening & we so enjoyed him!  The view is fantastic @ Amalfi and overall the place just has a TERRIFIC VIBE from the moment you step in the door.  When leaving I made our next reservation & you will want to too!

AMAZING authentic Italian food and great service!! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

After a brief hiccup with our large table reservation, the experience was great. Tables of 15 are always a challenge and they folks here were up to the task. Bread needed to hit the table immediately especially given hungry teens and a 40 minute wait despite our long standing reservation.  Appetizers and salads were well prepared and amply sized. Taste was good but the pizza in a jar disappointed. No jar and not great taste. Pizzas were excellent and the pastas were toothy and light as a good pasta should be. Most of the sauces were on point with the exception of the cacio pepe which was more like a bland Alfredo. The setting was superb, the people watching amusing and the desserts and limoncellos a delight. Would come back again and again and enjoy with parties big and small. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Amalfi dockside is hands down the spot if you're in north county. Their beer selection is amazing. They support local beers while carrying 20+ beers all together.. their bar food is deceivingly delicious.. I couldn't recommend a place in north county more...

After reading all of the great reviews, I chose this place to enjoy a nice birthday dinner. We sat outside, in the downstairs part. They were clearly understaffed. The service was probably the worst I have ever experienced at a restaurant. We needed to ask for napkins and utensils 3 times before finally getting them when halfway through out meal. It was 15-20 minutes before we were even served our drinks, and were never asked again if we wanted another round, even for a simple a water refill. We sent my son's  meal back as it had a topping that was not included on the menu. The staff were working hard, but seemed to have too many tables to care for. The 2 stars are for the ok food (the pizza is great), and the free dessert they gave us for the wait. My husband refuses to return. I really wanted to like it.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! This place is so nice, delicious food, super nice staff! The owner came and talked to us and helped with the menu. Super authentic Italian right on the water. If I could put 100000 stars I would. Love it!!!!!!!

Above & beyond a noteworthy experience!!  The ambiance, service, food, exceeded our expectations.  The hand-crafted cocktails, home-made pasta were divine!  Would highly recommend for dinner with friends & family. Loved the atmosphere, music, hospitality, & branzino fish melts in your mouth!!

AMAZING FOOD!! Staff is so friendly and welcoming! Most authentic Italian food in the city! All staff were wearing masks!

A diamond in a ruff ! We haven't been in SM for awhile and just happen to find this resto that has outside patio seating- the place is nice and modern and near the dock -  we were seated right away but I have to order in the front and they bring it to our table- anyway we ordered the bolognese, pep pizza and the white pizza- calamari fritti with cannoli and tiramisu- they were surprisingly delicious ! I would like to go back again - I just hope my orders come out earlier
