This restaurant is a gem. Perfect atmosphere, excellent food, attentive service. Truffle Rakakat was mind blowing - must have.
Probably one of the best places for Lebanse food. I come here at least once a month if not more and it is absolutely every single dollar! Some of the best features for food: Hummus - Just go for it and order, you wouldn’t regret it. Falafel - just the perfect crispy from outside, soft from inside (takes me back to Kuwait) Mixed Platter for 2 - 4 pieces of Sheesh Tawook, 4 pieces of grilled beef, 2 pieces of Lamb Pistachio Kebab, all served with their respective dips. Very very juicy and you cannot go wrong with it! I always go for the Amal Special Espresso Martini to down everything down which is in the league of its own! Definitely a must visit.
Always a lovely experience. Such a pretty interior, perfect for a girls night or a date night. Comfortable seating. Beautiful decor. Ordered a bunch and loved it all. Taboule, seared halloumi, batata Harrah, fries, rice, wara anab, platter for 2, amals hummus, 2 mocktails, date cake, kanefah. Loved every single one. Each dish was flavourful and seasoned well. Highly recommend for any occasion!
Amal deserves a Michelin star. Everything from the service, ambiance, to the taste was impeccable. It's a place worth recommending even for those unfamiliar with Lebanese cuisine. The flavors are not overpowering, making it enjoyable for everyone. It's spacious enough for group gatherings with friends or family.
I was celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday tonight and specifically wrote in the reservation that it was his birthday and to kindly bring him a nice treat. I even double checked with the hostess that they could see the request on their end and she said yes. The server didn’t do anything about it during the dinner or after I paid. I personally went up to my server and reminded her that it was my boyfriend’s birthday and was hoping she could bring something but she told me that it was an extra $14 charge. It is a ridiculous restaurant policy to allow customers to specify the dinner occasion, only to not, as a restaurant, do anything to acknowledge it. And on top of that, to charge for a BIRTHDAY REQUEST. Why even bother with that option? I expected better from a micheline star restaurant and after spending over $150.
Currently, it offers the finest Lebanese cuisine in Toronto. The sole concern is the music volume, which significantly hinders the ability to hear conversations with the person sitting across.
Amazing experience through and through! From the moment we walked into the restaurant to eating our leftovers, the experience was top-notch. The decor was very elegant and uplifting. The service was engaging and what you would expect on Bloor Street. The food was the best part by far. The truffle cheese appetizer is heaven in your mouth. We will be coming to this restaurant every time we are in Toronto.
We were there last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. My son Moshe works there and I am glad that we were received very well. The chef is very nice and his food is delicious. The staff is warm and friendly. The decor and ambience are so inviting. Merci beaucoup.
Very pretty space but the food was marginally good. The “hot meze” was cold, the fries cold and not evenly cooked but the dips were excellent. Wait staff asked why we didn’t tell him about the fries earlier in the meal but he was nowhere to be seen. Not impressed given the price.
