Altobeli's Restaurant and Piano Bar

Came here for a change of pace and to enjoy live music. Furious we spent $165 for three people for a below mediocre experience. Honestly, the worst food Ive had outside of an airport. Atmosphere was tired and dated, unappealing fluorescent light bulbs in ceiling radiated from private party space to our table. Food was borderline inedible: chewy, undercooked veal in a glue-like marsala, cold, mushy pasta that could only be compared to chef boyardee out of a can, salad looked as if was prepared by a 12 year old. Tomatoes cut into slices the size of hockey pucks. The ingredients were poor quality. The singer, who was fun and entertaining couldn't sing in key to save her life. What a waste!!!

We have been going there for years, but now it is under new management. All I can say is they have forgotten how to use garlic or any other spices. The food was blan and I mean all of the dishes. Will not being back.

The atmosphere is classy cool, and the service is remarkable. They rapidly attend to your every need to ensure you have the most pleasant experience possible. The live music was everything you’d hope for in a suburban piano bar. There were a couple of professional vocalists, a pianist who has obviously been playing for decades, and a multi-instrumentalist who could jam in accompaniment. Our meals of chicken parmigiana and chicken paesano were so good that we ended up with fewer leftovers than anticipated. Neither the garlic rolls nor the house salad were anything spectacular. The chocolate cake is not freshly made. The crème brûlée was disappointing. Maybe skip dessert? Great place to take a date.

WOW. This place is amazing. My husband and I went for my birthday just for a nice dinner and because I saw “piano” on the sign. I don’t think I’ve ever received such friendly and familial service. Chef Bob came and personally spoke to us about dietary needs, our waiter Michael was so kind, and we left feeling like we knew everyone at the restaurant, including other guests. Music was absolutely wonderful. Also love how invested they are in the community. We will definitely be going back!!

This place use to be great. We had a very unpleasant evening, that makes me cross this one off the list . I had to remind the waitress 3 times for my drink. The rolls were never ready. Our food was served cold, had no presentation. And a few dishes inedible. Our server was ridiculously rude to the point that I requested the manager, who never came over.she was bad mouthing other tables that complained as well. She never came to check on how the food was till some of us were done, stopped eating because it was not good. Or some still had inedible food. If that was not enough Our food took 1 1/2. Expensive meal even if 1 dish was comped completely not worth it.

Where do I begin? The food was amazing, I tried the carbonara, and visited with a group of nine. Not one complaint at the table. The service was top notch…Caroline was awesome! And the atmosphere was inviting! Casey, the owner, made us feel like old friends! My first time dining here and it won’t be the last!

Intimate atmosphere with an easy access location. Great food and excellent service. Great Neighborhood Italian restaurant.
