Alleycat Coffee House

Don’t make it up to Fort Collins often so when I was going to be up here I wanted to try a local cafe and found this place. High reviews I was expecting great coffee or at the very least decent coffee. Staff was extremely rude snapping for us to grab the tea we wanted and took forever. 20+ minutes for a mocha and a tea? Unacceptable. And to top it off I don’t even think there was any coffee in the mocha. Will never step foot in this place again.

This place is unique and has a very special place in my heart. Thanks for getting me through grad school! ❤️ Lattes, tea, smoothies, baked goods, and sandwiches. Vegan friendly. A must-go for a Fort Collins feel.

I don’t know what changed, this used to be my favorite spot to hunker down and get a bunch of work done. The building still has its charm and atmosphere, but something is off. The plants are all dying, the staff get mad if you bring study snacks, and the music used to be normal, chill cafe music. I do not want to hear rap/hip hop at 10 in the morning while trying to do work. It’s just a combination of these small things that really bummed me out.

the morning crew here is consistently the rudest service out of any coffee shop in fort collins, the night crew is *sometimes* nicer with a few people standing out in terms of being polite and not acting like it’s the end of the world to ask a question, or for a menu, unlike the morning staff who cannot wait to take their seat at the bar to be on their phone. I really love the atmosphere and the space is really comfortable as long as your interaction with the staff is a minimal as possible. I want to be clear this is not a “staff is shorter when there’s heavy volume/busy” it is a “staff is rude regardless of how many people are in the store.”. I hope that changes are made in the near future because it seems to be the same people from like 2022.
