Aliada

Good food, bad management! Had a reservation at Aliada last Friday, confirmed it over the phone, but when we arrived there was no table for us. Another couple who came after us, greeted the manager and got seated before us. But I thought maybe it's okay because they are seating outside and we stated on our reservation that we want to sit inside. After waiting for more than 20 minutes and feeling frustrated, the hostess finally said that our table was ready and starts directing us to an outside patio table, which had been available the entire time we were waiting. It looked like she was joking. She did not offer any other solution and no manager came over to address the situation. I have never had this kind of treatment in a restaurant so we clearly left. I have been here before and was looking forward to bring friends to experience it, but this was really disappointing.

I went to Aliada on my recent trip to NYC. This restaurant is fantastic. It is a small spot with great ambiance and incredible food. It has traditional Greek dishes and a lot of greater starters if you prefer to sample several different items tapas style. The service was exceptional and would highly recommend if you are visiting NYC and want to get away from Manhattan.

Have lived in the neighborhood for years and finally checked this place out. Wish we had sooner. Went on Sunday night for dinner date and it was perfect! Food, ambiance, and service was great. Server recommended a nice glass of white wine that would go with my entree. We got the swordfish it was so delicious and the lemon potatoes with it. We also got the halloumi fries and some spreads to start. We will be back.

My girlfriend and I went here for the first time in December 2022 and had a great meal. We went back in December 2023 and it was awful. The waiter (bald guy with glasses and a beard) was the rudest person I've ever encountered in the service industry. He acted like he was doing us a favor having us in his restaurant. I tried asking him the difference between two white wines and he acted like he didn't care and just suggested one without even looking at us. Next, we asked about the difference between two fish and he couldn't bother to explain the difference between the two and just said they were pretty much the same. Then he told us to hurry up and order because the fish takes a long time to cook. We ordered one of the fish and he didn't ask which sides we wanted but took it upon himself to order for us. On top of that, the bussers came by every few minutes towards the end of the meal to ask if we were finished, when we clearly weren't. I'd never go back to this place. Terrible service and terrible unwelcoming environment.

I order Chicken skewers with lemon potatoes . It comes with rice, a pita bread and tzatziki sauce. The place is nice , it has indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are really nice , on the phone and in person. For twenty three dollars is not bad at all. Vegetarian options: Greek salad , Pita , Hummus , Lemon Potato

Had an amazing Greek Sunday lunch with friends here. Great dips with pita and lamb chops!

Spectacular staff and scrumptious food! The manager, Christian, was very welcoming and friendly. Cozy, yet classy/romantic atmosphere. Perfect for dates or meeting friends and family. Best baklava I've had (and I've had plenty as it's my favorite dessert, haha)! Will definitely visit again! Thanks for everything, you all! Vegetarian options: It's Greek so there are plenty of vegetable options.
