Very cute and upbeat coffee place on Melrose. Lavender Latte was delicious, and the branded merch they have is very cute! Good way to start a walking and shopping trip down melrose.

The atmosphere at Alfred Coffee ( Melrose pl) is really fun, and the outside of the coffee shop with the overgrown ivy is really nice. The coffee was great, but the person taking our order was rude. He acted stuck up. They don't take cash, apparently. We had a gift card, and he didn't know how to use it each time we came back to purchase more items ( snacks and such) Other than the service, everything else was fine. The gift card was for my family, and they acted like we were inconveniencing them to use it.

Good coffee but slightly overpriced food items. Also, their default tip option is $1, which I pressed accidentally multiple times when I am in a hurry.
