Alexander's Breakfast & Lunch Skokie

Good service, good variety of food & even population!

The waiting period is long and it is too loud if you are coming in the morning and brunch. The place is small and people are almost competing with other people’s volume. Not good if you just want to relax and enjoy a good breakfast with family and friends. We revisited the place 2 weeks after the first experience around 2pm and it was way better. Quieter, the servers are nice. Very clean utensils are always a good thing! Parking: There is a parking lot about 2 blocks from the breakfast place. If you are lucky, there are few street parking closeby

Alexander's was the perfect breakfast! I got the steak hash with my eggs sunny side. The breakfast potatoes more than lived up to their reputation. It may have been the best bite of potato I have ever had. I ordered a side of the plantains as well and they were fresh and delicious. Just an absolute treat of a restaurant and definitely one I would recommend!

The Challah French toast is AMAZING! We loved everything we ordered. I’m only taking away 1 star because the coffee was pretty terrible. When your food is next level, please serve coffee that is up to your clearly incredibly high standards! Intelligentsia? Metropolis? We have so many great local choices! But, overall, fantastic experience! We’ll be back!

Best Breakfast Spot in Skokie. I would highly recommend the Shaksouka Toast and the Churro french toast.

Probably the best breakfast brunch in the Skokie area. Great menu that has Mexican influence in the best and most fun way. My feta omelette and potatoes were great, but I was tempted to get the churro French toast or chillakillers. Small restaurant, tight fit, very loyal patrons. I'm told the bloody Mary was excellent

Kid-friendliness: The staff was incredibly friendly with our 1 year olds and helped make their first restaurant experience successful.
