Great staff with deep knowledge of wines. Though can get pricey if trying many of their top wines...
Went for date night on a Tuesday and the atmosphere was great. We did not have a reservation but were able to get a spot on the comfy couch without waiting. We arrived at around 7:15. The atmosphere was great for talking. Low music and dim lighting made for great date vibes. We went after work, so were in smart casual/clean jeans. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and helped us choose 5 great glasses of wine (we were all over that menu). We ordered three small plates. They were all very good, but the grilled avocado was very small. Overall, this was a great place for an intimate chat or a relaxed glass of wine. I will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: There were many vegetarian options but not identified as such so we had to ask the waitress. The ones we had were great!
Oh well... Coming after a lunch from le Bernardin for a bottle of wine and hang out a bit. Literally one of the worst service experiences. When asked for a paper napkin, we were told to get them from the bathroom. Excuse me... and we were 1 out of 3 tables... so not busy at all.. but server was more busy talking to each other. We are aware it's not le Bernardin but it's still has Aldos name on it. However still felt like it stained our whole experience for lunch as it seems connected. The good: great wine selection, great wine glasses and great vibe.. didn't try food... however staff needs seriously training..
A comfortable bar with a solid wine list. Tough to find a good bottle for less than $150 so a bit in the pricy side
