I love to shop at Albertsons someday I would love to be a cashier there
The management is severely lacking in people skills. I was picking up a package of strawberries and the package broke open and spilled some of the strawberries into the fruit stand so I picked them up and put them back in the container. When I got to the register the manager came up and said "we're going to do it this time. But just to let you know these are measured out and weighed by the pound." I tried to explain to him that the package broke open and I just put them back in but he didn't listen and repeated himself. He assumed I was trying to put extra strawberries into the package. The strawberries were only $2.97 for 2 pounds. If I wanted more I would have bought another one. The cashier who is usually friendly was also short with me, also assuming that I was a "strawberry thief." I was a regular customer, typically shopping here on a weekly basis. I won't be returning to this store after my experience today with the manager. Additionally, this parking lot is crawling with unsavory panhandlers. There is ALWAYS someone panhandling at the stop sign. Today there was an entire family. Mom and dad with a little baby camped out on the sidewalk by the stopsign. I've been approached by men that looked (and smelled) like they crawled out from behind a dumpster, asking me for change. I don't feel comfortable in the parking lot, or in the store (which I won't be returning to).
I found it refreshing that there was an announcement for all available cashiers to the front registers, due to the customer count that had just arrived to check out. Also, there was an express lane which was very nice. Excellent customer service! The deli and meat department had great deals with very friendly helpful employees. Our cashier was fun and we joked with her as she rang up our purchases.
Placed a cake order on Wednesday. Was personally told by the woman who was supposed to make it that she would make it on Sunday. Cool. Get here today. The baker isn’t here. Cake isn’t made. The person helping us, Tom, tried to make it right which we appreciated, and we still left with something. But, it wasn’t with the design we wanted, which was just ~great~ considering it was for a themed birthday party, and now we have to decorate it ourselves right before the party starts. He did what he could, though, and I place no fault with him- It’s entirely on the woman who promised us it would be done, and left NO communication so that it would be a surprise when we got there.
Just a heads up, Did some shopping at Albertsons this morning, they put locks on restrooms. Very inconvenient to track down somebody to get the code, they were very hesitant to give it to me.
