Top notch. A local staple.
What looked like to be the owner, I saw him feed a homeless man for free. Give out free ice refusing to take the money, and give me a loaded up gyro at an affordable price. This man is an unsung hero. Support his amazing food because he seems like he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it!
I catered Al's for an event and everything went wonderfully. They helped me load all the food into the car and provided a separate bag with all the sauces. The food tasted amazing! All of the guests enjoyed the food and were asking about the restaurant.
Best easy quick and friendly place to go in town for good food.
Respected falafel and the best falafel
Took takeout of Chicken Shawarma. Pita was dry, meat was dry and cold, sauce, seasoning, greens and pickles were ok. Felt disappointing and overpriced for the quality.
Got the chicken shawarma and kofta kabob. Service was good but the food was not good. The meats were very dry.
Their portions are too small for the size , they overcharge with made up prices . Happened to me twice and they acted like I was lying when I showed them the price.
Al’s is a staple in the neighborhood and has the best gyro in town. Absolutely love the gyro fries.
Food was delicious!!! I had the Gyro plate and it blew my taste buds i will purchase here more often..
Fast and yummy lunch..really good gyro sandwiches with flavorful neat and good sauce and onions, pita bread outstanding.
I've been going here for a long time but recently portions have gone down and not as good as it used to be.
Als is one of the first places my brother took me before I moved to Houston, and I now go often for lunch. I usually get the falafel sandwich and my partner gets the veggie sandwich. The food is always delicious, fresh and fast. The restaurant is very chill and clean and the owner is extremely kind and attentive; every time I go he is there working behind the front counter and in the kitchen. This spot is a great hole in the wall, with perfect food every time.
Hispanic cashier lady is extremely rude, she also is a cook. Food quality has gone down as well. I was a client for many years, I will not be back. What a shame this place has gone down-hill.
Terrible food. Kabob plate costed $15 and it was unappetizing. The kebob was dry and hard served with dry Mexican rice. Nothing Mediterranean here. Save your money. Go elsewhere to eat decent food.
Jan 2024– I’ve passed by this place for years and it always seemed busy. Wish I would’ve never tried it. The chicken shawarma was the worst chicken I’ve ever gotten in my life.
