There have been multiple times where I have gone to Akari during their restaurant hours and no one was there or the store was closed. One time there was a message on the door stating they'd be back at a certain time which was within a few minutes so I waited and waited and it was nearly 30 minutes after the specified time before someone showed up & then I had to wait another 30 minutes until the food was ready. Today(a Tuesday) I showed up but they were closed as well. The sign on the door said they would be open at 11:00 but they were still closed at 2:00 when I arrived. When they are open like they are supposed to be, their food is really good but I don't have time to drive out of my way to find the restaurant closed and end up getting stuck trying to find somewhere else nearby to get food. I've given them a lot of chances but they just aren't reliable.
$10 steak sushi was amazing! Best deal in P’cola and it’s really really really good!
The employees were nice and helpful, but I didn't enjoy any of the food. I ordered two rolls of sushi, crab rangoons, and a lemonade. The lemonade was a zero-sugar one, which I didn't order. The rangoons had a very limited amount of crab in them and little flavor. Both sushi rolls had wet rice on the outside and just didn't have a pleasing taste overall.
Have had their bowls in the past. This time it was very disappointing. The tuna appeared to have been frozen . It was discolored and nasty. I will not be trying them again. When you pay for sushi grade you expect sushi grade .
The tuna in the poke bowl was fishy and not tasty. I did not finish this bowl.
Sub par at best. No sauces for dumplings, what's that about? Pan seared dumplings were burnt and no flavor. (Sauce probably could've helped). Tuna tasted odd. Tasted too weird to eat. Waste of money. Would not recommend.
