Everything is always so amazing and delicious. The quality is so consistent and just never disappoints! Kanae always treats us with such kindness. The restaurant is definitely a hidden gem that I’m afraid one day it’ll be too popular . If I could have the makunouchi bento genzo every day I would but really everything is so good

Have been there more than 10 times with friends on various occasions and quality of food and service are always exceptional. Kanae especially goes above and beyond! I love the makunouchi bento genzo and the chirashi, but everything on the menu is amazing. Hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants in the US (arguably THE best because I’m biased lol) I’ve ever been to

The dishes, a beautiful blend of simplicity and complexity, ignite a sense of curiosity with every bite without feeling overwhelming. The quality of the food is unmatched, with my favorites being the steak bento and an ikura dish that's simply out of this world. These ikura, imported directly from Japan, are the best I’ve ever tasted.The space itself is a haven of cleanliness and calm, creating a relaxing ambiance that’s enhanced by always pleasant music. What stands out as much as the food is the warmth and friendliness of the staff, making every visit a joy.Pricing at Akari defies expectation, offering incredible value for such high-quality fare. The desserts, like everything else, strike a perfect balance between simplicity and complexity, rounding off the dining experience beautifully.Akari is more than my favorite restaurant; it’s a treasure that offers an extraordinary dining experience at surprisingly reasonable prices. Every visit is a delight, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Super friendly service and food was amazing

Excellent food, nice atmosphere, great service. Price is more than reasonable for the quality of food. Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetarian hot pot meal. The vegetarian appetizers were well thought out and delicious. The hot pot was great, with fresh vegetables, mushrooms, glass noodles, and tofu.

This place is so lovely and the food is amazing. Very authentic and creative, as well as tasty. The concept is innovative and prices very reasonable considering everything that you get. Support this local restaurant - it's delicious!!!
