Flavor explosion in your mouth! Fantastic !

Great place to eat, food was incredible and we were introduced to completely new flavors. They were also very accommodating to dietary restrictions. I definitely think the quality and amount of food was also worth the price tag. Overall we had a wonderful time. I do have a few critiques on the general atmosphere though, hence the 4/5 stars. We thought we were going somewhere fancy due to the price tag and look of the restaurant, but most of the staff and vibes felt very casual. Which, I don't want to frame as a complaint, maybe I just misunderstood, but we were taken aback by a few things. A few of the staff were very dressed down. Baggy tie-dye t-shirt, light wash jeans, and general lack of uniform or outfit coordination. The staff, while very friendly, also seemed nervous and slightly uncoordinated, often working over each other on the same table. We were feeling a tad overwhelmed being asked by each staff member if we wanted a refill on our wine, after declining several times. Another odd bit was the Lego head we were handed as a means of passing our check. I almost thought our waitress was joking. I'm not sure the reasoning behind that choice. I guess it's memorable? It makes the night feel less special imo, but maybe that's just me. Still, had a great time, just wasn't exactly what I was expecting.

Celebrated a special birthday with family. This is the third time I have been to Agni and it never disappoints.

I spent a recent evening at the grill side bar in the kitchen of Agni. It was one of the most awesome dining experiences I've ever had, and def the best dining experience in a quarter century of calling Cbus home. Every person I engaged, from the maitre’d (Colin), F&B manager (Jared), Sommeliers (Matt & Beth), Server (Carli), Sous-Chef JJ and Grillmaster Chef Nick were so welcoming, friendly, kind and generous. A tremendous team of talented people! My 6-course menu exponentially grew to 14 with delicious snacks and treats magically appearing throughout the evening. 2 of my courses, the Panipuri & Mac salad transported me to travel memories which is pretty incredible! I relished them. The “bread and butter” course was hands down the best e-v-a-h! A sourdough bread with a garlic confit running through it along with a quenelle of emulsified duck fat (the butter) and an amazing pile of crumbled garam masala infused potota chips to dip the bread and butter, in. Wow! Just wow! The dumpling (course) in a chili oil and sweet soy shot with the duck skewer topped with a mint chutney was better than anything Din Tai Feng ever served me….and that is saying A LOT! The dessert pistachio butter gelato was so rich in pistachio flavor that (just) the quenelle hit the spot (along with the flan & Gulab jamun). I could ramble on and on, but you’d get bored with my superlative adjectives. Just book a table and go! Do not delay. Dining at Agni is an event you will not regret!

We got recommended this place by a good friend. My brother then went on his own and told me we had to try it as well, so we did and wow it did not disappoint. The food was presently so beautifully and tasted amazing too! I HIGHLY appreciate the attention to service that the staff provided. My water glass was never empty. Love that. Can’t wait to come back and try a new seasonal menu in a couple of months. Lovely just lovely.

The beauty of Agni is the food stands up to any fine restaurant anywhere in the world, and it just happens to be in Columbus, Ohio. The presentation and intricacy of flavors is as fine as any Michelin Star restaurant where I have eaten, and without being pretentious. Dietary restrictions: My current dietary restrictions include no red meat, salt, sugar, dairy, anything fried, or anything with white flour as an ingredient. Each plate of the tasting menu met these requirements without sacrificing flavor. Very few chefs can achieve that, and very few restaurants can handle such customers without being annoyed.

Everything was just awesome! Exciting to see Columbus' food scene getting serious with places like Agni. Very well thought out tasting menus with intentionality in the progressions. That dumpling...fuggetaboutit...I could eat 10 of those.
