Love it here...I enjoyed the fish and rice plate!
I hear about it all the time have a good day and Grilly great
I recently dined at this African restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful African decor that set the perfect tone for the meal. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes from various regions of Africa, each bursting with flavor and authenticity. I started with the Suya, a popular West African grilled meat skewer, which was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. For the main course, I tried the Jollof Rice with Chicken, a classic Cameroonian dish that was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and complex, with just the right amount of spice. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were also happy to provide recommendations based on my preferences, which I really appreciated. Overall, dining at this African restaurant was a delightful experience, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. If you're looking for a taste of Africa in the heart of the city, this is the place to go!
This used to be an African Restaurant, but now it has lost its touch. The cooks are not African and the food reflects that. I lady at the front told me that all of the food is prepared early in the morning, so you are not getting fresh food. The quality does not match the price and it is just sad.
Their fish is way too expensive. They need to put back the $20.00 we were used to. Otherwise, the place is very clean and good customer service
I ordered the tilapia and riped plantain and it was very good. Very tasty, flavorful and the sauce has a nice aroma. I’m giving 4 stars because as I ate the fish, it still had its strong sea smell which I can taste/smell in my mouth. It was so strong that it felt like they took the tilapia out the sea and slapped it on a plate. What made the fish very tasty is the seasoning and sauce. However if you love seafood like me, you’ll know that even good seasoning does not faint away the sea scent in a fish. With that being said it’s clear that the fish might have not been cleaned or washed properly. I usually leave my fish in cool lemon water or vinegar/water to draw out the scent and clean it well. When I make tilapia there is no sea smell in the fish. I guess that’s just a preference thing but personally that smell made me a bit nauseous. I don’t know if I’ll get the tilapia again but I will love to try different foods on the menu. Perhaps something without any meat/chicken/fish. I’m not sure if I trust their meat preparation.
Very clean atmosphere, fast service, staff very friendly, and food is great! Been eating here for 12 years now. Highly recommend!
