Agave is always a hit. We take most of our guests here. Great quality of food, incredible family recipes (enjococado and quality mole), hot homemade chips that comes with a couple salsa types, actual quality vegetable/vegetarian options, good tequila selection, nice service, and i could go on and on! We love the patio too, and almost always can sit right away. As a celiac in a family of celiacs/gluten sensitive folks, it's awesome that the chips are gluten free which isn't always the case. They have lots of options for people sensitive to gluten. I have eaten there fairly often for many years, and as far as i can tell, i haven't been "glutened" there. If i had any drawbacks at all, it's that sometimes service is slow due to being short staffed but honestly i see that pretty much everywhere. If you let them know about a time constraint they will kindly help out. Whenever my family comes in town, they want to go to agave! Vegetarian options: It's not just that they have vegetarian options, but that, imo, the options have good quality vegetables. Dietary restrictions: See review. Good for vegetarians and celiac/gluten sensitive.
Experience was very great
Favorite Mexican food on castro! Delicious guacamole and margaritas!
We loved the vegetarian food we ordered here. ‘ Enjoyed the mojito too! Mole Poblano was suuuuperb !! Definitely going back for just that at the next opportunity :))
Amazing food. The recipes are superb and well paired. Portions are healthy and the staff is extremely friendly and caring. This is an amazing venue for a date or just enjoying friends and family. Do not miss this place!!!
Service was superb, the waitstaff super attentive, helpful, and friendly. Food was pretty good too, tasty for value. Parking: Lots of free parking in the area. You have to walk a block or two but its not very far.
I recently ordered a cheese quesadilla with a corn tortilla, accompanied by guacamole, sour cream, and a side of Mexican rice, amounting to $24. After tipping $3 for takeout, the total reached $27. The person who took my order seemed nice. Eager to enjoy my meal at home after a tiring day, my anticipation turned to complete sadness upon opening the box. To my surprise, I initially mistook the quesadilla for plain tortillas due to the scant amount of cheese, which was even thinner than the tortilla itself, which is very frustrating. Having no other food at home and being very hungry, I felt disheartened at the thought of spending nearly $30 on such a disappointing meal. The negligible amount of cheese was especially disheartening, looking more like a thin, soggy layer on the tortilla rather than the hearty filling I expected. I was sad to see the size of the sour cream and guacamole containers as well. This experience was not only disappointing but also unacceptable. I genuinely want a refund.
Everything was great, we really enjoyed the food and service. Recommended!
