Tried for the very first time fufu and egusi, it was really good and tasty. Will be going back for sure
I ordered the chicken egusi with their pounded yam and their spicy chicken jollof rice. I thought their chicken egusi soup was bland and not tasty, the pounded yam was neutral tasting (had no taste to it), and the chicken was dry and not that seasoned. The size of the soup was small. Definitely regretted ordering that one. Their spicy chicken jollof rice, however was delicious. Their rice was well seasoned, but the chicken was dry like the other one and didn't taste all that special. Gave a lot of rice, which was good. Paid $58 total (they don't accept cards only cash or venmo), which was really expensive considering its just a chicken dish, nothing special like goat or something. I would say considering the taste and the amount given... it wasn't worth the price. The soup should be like maybe $10. I would rather buy sushi, japanese ramen, or Indian food for $58. But that's just me. At least I can say that I tried African food.
Very amazing food and great service
NOT a restaurant just someone’s store and a few dirty tables , the lady cooks the food in a microwave she will open up in the morning and bring back the food fast she doesn’t cook it same day old nasty food save your self the money eat else where
So yummy with a great spicey level egusi goat
Every time I come here I get Chicken w/ Egusi soup and 2 pounded yams for $32 and every time it gives what it is supposed to be given . Marcilina usually greets me w/ great customer service and conversation and the food is always served hot and tasteful w/ enough for me to have a bite for later. The food is a bit pricey but as you see I keep going back lol. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try African food for the first time because my first, second and third time here were all a great experience. Thank you so much for the experience Marcilina xo Parking: I usually park right out front w/ no issues Kid-friendliness: I always grab the extra pounded yams for my daughter she just loves it w/ no meat just Egusi soup
