Dear Management, I recently visited Anejo Restaurant & Bar during my stay in Miami, coming from out of state. I wanted to provide feedback on my experience, focusing on two key aspects: Food and Customer Service. Customer Service: I must express my disappointment with the customer service, which I rate an 2 out of 10. Upon our arrival, the young hostess, who happened to be blonde, inquired about our reservation status. Despite not having one, she informed us about a guest performer event and reserved tables for their guests. We opted to sit at the bar, which was vacant, and she reluctantly allowed it with the condition of a 45-minute time limit, despite our early arrival at 8:00 pm. The bartender who attended to us was commendable, displaying attentiveness and kindness throughout our visit. We appreciated the ambiance and overall aesthetic of the restaurant, as well. Food: On the food front, we ordered the Rabo and a full rack of ribs, both of which were served hot, fresh, and of excellent taste. We have no complaints in this regard. However, my positive impressions were marred by an incident at the end of our meal. At 8:30 pm, I requested the check from the bartender. While I was finalizing the payment at 8:34 pm (totaling over $100), the same blonde hostess approached my son at the bar and requested him to vacate his seat for another customer. Despite the bartender indicating that we were in the process of settling our bill, she persisted. This was particularly upsetting as we had adhered to the initially stipulated time limit of 8:45 pm. Such a breach of trust and professionalism is concerning, especially considering the financial commitment made. It is imperative to uphold ethical standards and professionalism in business operations. Regardless of scheduled performances, all patrons should be treated with respect and dignity. Being allocated a specific timeframe already creates a sense of being rushed, and for the hostess to disregard her prior commitment only exacerbated the situation. I appreciate the bartender's intervention, but this incident left me feeling greatly uncomfortable. I urge you to prioritize customer service training, emphasizing the importance of respecting paying customers and upholding the integrity of your establishment. Joy G.
