Best place to eat South Indian Veg Food in NYC!
Very fresh and impressive dosas. Highly recommended.
Went for dinner tried their samosa chaat really good, service was friendly and fast will come again.
Food in no where taste like south indian Dont go
Loved the pondicherry dosa full of flavor and chutneys. The staff are friendly and got my food in a reasonable time, will come back and try more items on the menu. Great south indian addition to grand central
Extremely rude staff who refused to serve us coffee….I came here with my sister for the first time since we are vegetarians and we do not take onion and garlic… there was no proper jain option without onion and garlic available and since we are big fans of filter coffee we requested for some coffee. The waitress told us that they do not serve coffeee on table , however I requested for another cup of coffee while I was seated on the tavle. The waitress said that she won’t be able to serve coffee as it is against the rules of the hotel to serve to only drinks. There were a number of tables that was empty. I do not understand why cannot you serve coffee on the table while we are seated on the table already and you have empty tables.
Our experience Adyar Anand Bhavan on Lexington Avenue was quite disappointing. Despite my love for dosa, the long wait times and average food left much to be desired. While the dosas were just ok, they didn’t quite live up to my expectations- the sambhar was very watered down and the chutney was almost flavorless. They took quite a while to get a mango milkshake - we had to wait almost 30 mins and remind the staff multiple times. It was also hard to focus on the food when the smell in the restaurant ( smoke and a strong pungent smell) was so overpowering. I hope the management takes steps to address this issue, as it really detracts from the overall dining experience
Food is alright but service is really bad.
