I ordered the CMT burrito and was blown away. The flavor was spicy, warm, and balanced. The chicken was so tender. Honestly, from all the places we tried here today Adya was the one that blew us away.
My first visit to the Anaheim packing district. Adya caught my eye with a great selection of Indian delicacies. I chose shrimp curry (flavorful coconut based) and lamb curry (spicy and tender abounding in flavor with deeper reddish brown color) with rice. The portions were smaller than I imagined them to be, but filling nonetheless. Generous portion of basmati rice.
Burrito was mostly rice. Gross. Also asks for tip even though its takeout
Adya is my wife’s and my go to Indian spot for any special occasion. We absolutely adore the food, but almost singularly purchase the same dish every time: daal makhani thali will garlic naan. This is our favorite dish in all the world…and my wife is from India! So you know it is not only authentic but deliciously prepared. Chopped winner and co-owner Shachi Mehra knows what she is cooking.
Portion size is on the small side. You pay $10+ per dish and this is all you get. Wish the portion size was more. Flavor of Chicken Masala is there.
My first time here!! It was perfect!
I highly recommend Adya in Anaheim, CA for catered events. The food was excellent, even better than the restaurant. The service and setup were professional, and the menu was customizable.
This place is a joke! Even though this place is an express take out, with no service to your table, they’ll have an expectation to receive a tip or you can expect less of a meal. The item I ordered was the biggest joke! I ordered their burrito, which was suppose to come with meats and veggies but when the cashier made mine, it came with 99 percent rice. Their rice wouldn’t have been bad because I was hungry, but it was so dry and disappointing all together, I had to throw it out and purchased something elsewhere. I would never go back!
