Acropolis Greek Taverna - New Tampa

OK I initially left a two star review and now I think that wasn't fair - we're all trying to make a living so I decided to make it a 4 star with the following constructive criticism. The atmosphere was great. The service was top notch. The portions were huge - more than I ever expected. Here's the constructive criticism part - I had a Greek salad - I've had lots of these salads - I was not a fan of the dressing at all. It wasn't the traditional Greek salad dressing - it was some kind of pasty white stuff. Then there was potato salad on the Greek salad - again, seemed to me like it didn't belong there at all. Perhaps you can offer two types of dressings - traditional and whatever you want to call the one you have now. Also, maybe put the potato salad on the side - it was ok to nibble on but it just didn't go with the Greek salad and Gyro meat. OK - I feel better about this now - sorry I was just mean before - I would love to come back and give it another try. Thank you

Our first time here after moving to Tampa. It was a great meal. Very fast and delicious. Jim, our server was fantastic.

The food was so delicious. We got several dishes, and all of them were good. The environment was fun and friendly. Our server, Zoya, was so sweet and really took her time with us so we could get the best service. Even did us a favor of allowing our birthday guests to break some plates with supervision. Opa! The food was timely, and everything came out hot. Would definitely come here again.

To the short staff and to really messing up not once but twice on a salad… wow Horrible food and service. Understandable to have not the best service when the servers are doing twice the work due to the short staff. But for them having to bring the manger to explain how a salad was messed up in order to get the food replaced with yet another messed up order? Makes sense? No it doesn’t. To the manger not even give more salmon to the salad due to the mess up. For the server to say “my manger didn’t give you another piece of salmon since you ate the other one” ?? Yes what a convenience for having to watch others eat while you wait for messed up salad. Sorry for being hungry while waiting on a salad nice to know customers mean nothing vs giving another $8 salmon for your mess up. Not coming here again.

I love the food. I also love the entertainment. It’s amazing. It’s like a big party in there one of my favorite places.

Stopped going 2 this one....smaller portions for the same price. Food just ok not as good as once was. Tried it again today (bbdowns location ) when we got r bill there was a different charge from the menu for r meals We were told menu prices r for cash only if use a charge there is an upcharge. Not a discount 4cash, an upchaRge, for using a charge, even though it is not a cash only restaurant. Only got the menu price after insisting 2speak 2 a manager Who had 2 b called because no one in the restaurant (including r waitress) had that authority WILL Not B Back........it is deceiving & I am sure most people don't realize what they r doing. Charging u to use your charge

The home of the best Greek salad - the Acropolis salad! Everything is fresh and delicious. This time we went for a birthday. Love their birthday celebration!

Valentine's Day 2024: Food is great. The service staff OVER CHARGED my Visa Card. I didn't catch it until I checked my bank statement the next day. Management refunded the difference. Check your Visa Card often.
