Amazing everything. Gary our waiter was the best waiter I’ve ever had in my entire life, he was nice, helpful, so thoughtful, and made the experience so so so good. I got the enchiladas de mole and they were incredible. Best mole I have ever had.
The menu has a nice variety, and everyone in our party enjoyed their dinner. The flavors were great! For those who need gluten-free options, the staff seemed very knowledgeable about avoiding cross-contamination. They even have separate gluten-free tortilla chips that are supplied by an outside vendor, as opposed to the ones made in house in their fryer.
Wonderful place on the Riverwalk and had really good, flavorful food with a very attentive staff. Would sit out on the patio
This would have to be by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I am a very patient and understanding person who rarely complains. That being said, I ordered the cheese enchiladas, which comes with chile con Carne, I'm a vegetarian, so I asked for just queso on top instead and made a point to say to my waiter "because I can't eat meat" he said "no problem all just have them switch it out with queso. My waiter doesn't return at all following my initial order. My food comes out, and there are chucks of meat in the queso. My waiter doesn't return, so after about 10 minutes, I flag him down to tell him there is meat in this, to which he responds. "Oh yea, there is chorizo in our queso." Following this, I just politely ask if you could just make it with a different sauce or just cheese like regular cheese. He says sorry about that and then disappears again. My corrected order comes out, and there is a red sauce, which I assume is just a tomato sauce. I take a bite and there is meat in it. So I just wait for my waiter to return after about 10-20mins another waiter who isn't my wait walks up to ask if I was ok. I simply say I asked for no meat and I think there is meat in here he said "well yea that is chile con Carne" he was very professional and polite and compted the meal. Once my plate was gone, my original waiter came back to give me the check and had to be told my food was being compted because there was still meat in it.
Server was polite and caring! Food and drinks were outstanding
We made reservations months in advance for 10 people. This place has a really great patio with room for large tables so, making advance reservations we expected a decent table. Upon arrival, we were shown our table, inside with absolutely no view. I’d venture to say, it was the words table in the restaurant. We complained and the manager was quite rude. We were told that we would need to wait 40 minutes for a patio table. We chose to wait in the bar which was kind kind of dive-y but the bartender was fun. We had just ordered our drinks when the manager told us our table was ready. They had brought out more tables and set them up in the ample space. Our waiter must have been primed by the manager as he was rude throughout our meal. The food was good but was room temperature at best. Nothing was served hot. Drinks were good, good wine menu. There are definitely better restaurants in San Antonio.
We ate dinner here and got a table right away on a Friday night. The server was attentive and friendly. Ordered the fajitas for two with a little bit of everything. We were very hungry and probably only finished about half. Way too big of a portion size. The shrimp tasted really good, but only got two. Got a mountain of dry chicken though. The beef and pork tasted pretty good.
We ordered cocktails and the un poquito de todo dish- the drinks & food were great! A bit disappointed that we only received one shrimp on a dish that’s meant for 2 people to share but other than that the food was great. We also ordered the tres leches cake for dessert. The presentation was beautiful but the cake itself was very dry. The women’s restroom unfortunately was very filthy.
