From google this place opens at 11:30am. Took Uber to go at noon but the place was closed and there were drunk and drugged people around. I felt unsafe and recorded another Uber. Wasted time and money. Don’t recommend coming here.
I didn’t get to eat here but the people were super nice I called because someone was claiming to own a business next to them and they happily verified that business was not there
Got an order to go (I don’t dine indoors at the moment) and the food was great even with a bit of a drive before I got a chance to eat it! The flavors of the veggie combo were on point. A little bit of heat, berbere spice savory, all delicious! I added a side of red lentils to be sure the two of us got enough food, we have leftovers. I recommend getting more than a combo if you’re *very* hungry but the portions are good and one combo will feed two people. Anyone taking stars off the restaurant because of location isn’t being fair to the food and place itself. There are folks who hang out in the shopping center and are under various influences, but I felt fine parking to go in and grab my order. My biggest annoyance was the police camera in the parking lot blasting music to deter the people who probably didn’t have anywhere else to go to chill. That’s not on the restaurant. Take it up with the lack of basic humanist care in society.
One of my favorite spots in Nashville. Abyssinia is consistently delicious.
Only ever had To Go, but never a disappointment. The banatu is my favourite - even made to order as milder than typical for my sensitive Canadian tastebuds. A definite spot to go if you want some good Ethiopian food!
The food was spectacular.
The location is not very pleasing. Drunk men were sitting outside everywhere!! The food was subpar. My wife believed the food was reheated from the previous day. We went there for my stepdaughter's early birthday celebration (Nov. 11, 2023). When we arrived, our table was not clean, so my wife and I wiped it off. Also, the restroom wasn't tidy either. My daughter saw a giant spider in a web and ran out. The service was horrible. It seemed like they were getting food ready to deliver to some big function and pretty much ignored us. We finally received menus to order and then took a long time to receive our food; I believe it was due to getting someone's big order ready. Our drinks were in bottles, and my Diet Coke was way outdated and expired. The lady there preparing food and other orders would never check on us. After waiting a while, I went up to the counter to ask for more injera bread that my wife wanted; the lady thought I was getting ready to check out, but I told her no, I just wanted injera bread. So, she finally brought a little blue basket of it to our table, and she used her BARE HANDS right in front of us and threw it on top of our platter of food!! We were horrified after that, and we just got ready to checkout!!!!! We always leave a tip of appreciation, which is always more than the total ticket percentage... Needless to say, I paid for only the ticket amount!!!!! I do not recommend this place!!!!!!! Dr. Norm Reed, Sr., M.P.H.
