Very nice Falafel Wrap and Baklawa! (Vegetarian-friendly) Amazing service!
Best Mediterranean food in Austin by a MILE. This place is incredible. You can taste how fresh all of the ingredients are, and you can really tell how well-prepared each dish is (and how generous the portions are!). Abo is so sweet and friendly, and on only my second trip to his restaurant he remembered me and greeted me warmly. You have not lived until you’ve tried the Gardenia plate, with sauteed eggplant, hummus, spiced cauliflower, falafel and tabouleh. I had it as a wrap with falafel last time as well, which blew my mind. My new regular spot!
This food truck has been a a consistent destination in Cherrywood/French Place for many years now. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been excellent and the portions are always generous. The owner is friendly, kind, and always takes the time to say hello and ask how I’m doing. What more could you want!?
Friendly family-owned food truck with excellent homemade food and drinks, all very reasonably priced!
This is my favorite Mediterranean spot in Austin. I tried the chicken shawarma, lamb kebab, and gardenia. They were all amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the lamb was well seasoned. I was a little skeptical about the gardenia, but it was amazing. If you like eggplant and cauliflower, you will love it, and even if you don't, you will still love it. My favorite part was the pita bread. It is by far the best pita bread I have had in all of Austin. The serving sizes were also massive. The most amazing part of this place is that it is a food truck. The food came out quite quickly, but the service was nothing exceptional. It was exactly what I expected. There is no real seating or eating area near the food truck. It is in a gas station parking lot East of the UT campus. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you try this place out, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
LITERALLY THE BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD IN AUSTIN, TX. GREAT DATE SPOT. GREAT PRICES. GREAT GUY
Authentic, quick, and delicious
For the first time in my life I've been able to have authentic Egyptian food WITHOUT having to fly to Egypt. Abo Youssef makes the tastiest hawawshi I've had, literally like I was eating from the streets in Cairo. His lemoun naanaa (lemon mint) is 100% perfect. If he has it, please get some fatiir, it's made PERFECTLY, and will leave waddling home like a fat chicken.
The man was respectful and very kind and nice the food was really good we were traveling from Tulsa and it was our first time, I recommend him Vegetarian options: I liked falafel wraps
Can’t believe I’ve lived in ATX for 7 years and 4 years in this neighborhood and hadn’t had Abo Youdsef until now. Samir the owner is so kind and even gave me a mint lime drink since it was my first time there. I’ve had falafel wraps all over the world and somehow my favorite one was right in my neighborhood the whole time. Thank you, Samir! It’s an unassuming food truck next to gas station but that’s what makes it a hidden gem. Picnic tables for sitting or take it to go.
