A good place for trying variety of Mexican fusion food. All tapas. Atmosphere is great too. Gets loud in the evening though.
The food was amazing! Great mix of Latin cuisine with unique flavors and fresh ingredients. The service was excellent, friendly staff. I was with my dog and it was easy to get a table outdoors. We ordered the pre-fixed menu for two: great amount of food worth the money. I loved the rice with chicken, the tuna tart and the churros were awesome, the chocolate was delicious. The music and atmosphere was great. I’ll definitely come back.
Out of the abc line of restaurants in this area, I found this to be the least exciting one. I tried the tuna tartare, arroz con pollo, and churros. The tuna was kind of… dull? It was still pretty fresh, but all the flavors kind of muddled together. Also, the tuna looked like it was smashed or something, which I guess made it soft to the bite, but I found it soft to the point of being almost mushy, which was unappetizing. The arroz con pollo was rather unremarkable. Yes, the chicken was very tender. Yes, the skin was crispy. But the rice was also on the verge of mushy (sensing a theme here), and there didn’t really seem to be anything else with the dish to liven it up. I got a little tired of spooning the chicken rice mash into my mouth. Also, there was hot sauce, but it was very mild for a Mexican restaurant, which was a bit sad. The churros were fine. They were quite tasty, even, and I really enjoyed the melted chocolate it came with. However, the churros also crumbled easily, rather than staying crisp, so by the end I could have used a spoon to fish out the bits that broke off into the chocolate sauce. All in all, if you want Mexican food, there are plenty of places in the city with way more lively dishes, especially if you’re going to be paying these prices.
Service from bartender was awful Gave us attitude, forgot to put orders in (twice!!!) Was worst experience of bar seating I had in NYC
Bad food and terrible service. We were waiting more than 1 hour for dessert. Totally overpriced.
Dined the other night at the bar and had a really great experience. Food was great and we loved the Diablo margaritas with mezcal. Mike was serving us - he was very accommodating and made great recommendations. Super cool vibe, would definitely come back!
Went there for Sat lunch. Food is tasty and they have nice vegetarian offerings. Cocktails are great.
