We happened to come across this restaurant while looking for a place for lunch near our hotel in Embarcadero. The one we were going to was closed so we started wandering around the financial district. Saw the sign & decided Chinese food sounded good. It’s a small, no frills place either limited seating but since it was a little past lunch rush, there was only one table occupied. We were vegetarian for the day so I decided to try the lunch special which was spicy basil tofu with rice and my husband ordered the kung pao tofu. Both the dishes were so good! We polished off the good sized portions. So glad we discovered this little gem in the financial district.

This is a quick lunch spot. Don't expect gourmet Chinese food. Now, with that expectation, this place is a great lunch spot for $20. Their noodle soup is perfect on a rainy day and they generally have a seat if you want to eat here. BBQ pork is on the sweet side and is better to eat before getting soaked in the broth. Pretty Average broth. On the salty side. Wonton is thin skinned which is what I prefer. Noodles are not soggy and well cooked. Portion size is generous and will fill up an average hungry person. Service is quick and the host is friendly and efficient despite how busy this place is during lunch time. Foods are all freshly made and have plenty of variety that you have to wait and think about what to get. The location is also perfect since this is the closest noodle place from the sales force building. There's happy donut too but this place has more seating. Their salt and pepper you name it also looked good and fresh. Many people got fried chicken cutlets. Fyi, The price is different from what they say on the menu but still not bad. Ask for chili oil if you want since it's not on the table.

Great little Chinese restaurant. Good for a take away lunch. Not to many tables if you want to eat in.

This restaurant is one of the few Asian restaurants in the financial district that is legit. They have counter seating and also small wooden chairs and tables, the cashier was nice and the food came out quickly. I ordered the Hanoi pho with beef and meatball, it was good although I wasn’t use to the mild sesame flavor in a pho broth. The meat was nice and tender, easily breakable with the wooden dispensable chopsticks. I’ll definitely be back to try other items.

Good lunch spot for fundamental Asian cuisine. Nothing fancy about the food or the atmosphere.
