Tried to stop by tonight for drink around 6pm … no one there … does any one know anything about this place ?? So has this place closed permanently?!? Have tried on multiple occasions only to arrive to closed and locked doors … so very sad ! If this is the new “Dive , I’m not impressed at all. Our server brought us drinks rather quickly , nice and they we good . but took forever for a food order.. we got ground beef nachos.. chips are like biting wet card board.. they just sprinkled beef over the top .. this is a pathetic effort ..super disappointing.. we love this place .. guess we don’t plan on eating there ..
Let me begin by saying that the Dive is not what it was. My fiance and I were regulars and would frequent there on Sunday brunch. We loved everything about the establishment, food was fantastic, wait staff was very cordial and prompt, and the mix of locals and students was just right. Most don't know what changed. This is long after going through the days of the covid shut down. The dive changed hands and began changing the hours. Each post from the dive page was a different reason for being closed. We would go to have our dinner together and find they were closed a lot! Then Brunch was canceled. The menu even got smaller as if it was another covid shutdown. We are sad to see this place deteriorate but I guess it happens. I would have given 5 stars in all categories last year and the years before. Whatever the formula was it worked. But sadly this business quite literally has been ruined.
The food is far above average for a pub and the laid back feel is a welcome respite from daily stress! I've eaten there 3 times now and have yet to be disappointed Vegetarian options: My son is vegetarian, on his one visit with me the vegetarian burrito was a hit, I'm not sure about much else
Food was delicious and the board game collection was great to explore, the mixed drinks were not quite up to par Parking: Roughly 8 spots in parking lot, may be full on busy nights Kid-friendliness: 21+ only
Drag party karaoke all night!!!!
6th St. Dive is a small local bar with a limited menu. A group of 7 of us had all been there before and were expecting the same results. Well, as with most places, services were limited to one bartender and 3 cooks. Needless to say it was, the food was great, but the margaritas were not as good. I told the bartender, and she prepared me a different that was absolutely delicious!! We will be returning!!
Fantastic food, great drinks. Definitely try the dive sauce! Sometimes the music can get to be rather loud but that's a minor issue compared to all the great parts.
I lived nearby for 5 years and loved it. Great, cheap and filling food. One of the best places in Lafayette.
Have had their homemade guacamole and chips numerous times. Went in tonight and ordered the same. It was NOT the same. Chips were clearly out of a bag. Waitress tried to say they were fried in house but obviously they were not. Will NOT return. Left without ordering dinner.
