This place is closed! Placed an online order and went to go pick it up, only to find a out of business sign on the door.

Obviously, the chopped salad is what you should get for a quick and enjoyable meal. 5 out of 5 with my guarantee. I tried to order some different food, and they are a little bit below average. Seafood Salad - not my recommendation since Kani is not considered seafood as for me Thunder Road wrap - I though it was served with grilled chicken, but it was simply deli chicken breast thin cut with thin dressing. I still love their food anyway

I tried 2nd Street on Uber eats and they completely messed up my order. I was extremely disappointed but I decided to call the restaurant and let them know about my experience. I spoke with the owner, Greg and he apologized. Greg then offered to make me a new sandwich and have it redelivered. Greg personally delivered my new meal free of charge and the new sandwich was definitely made with love. Great customer service is hard to find nowadays but Greg at 2nd Street Gourmet exceeded my expectations! Thank you!

Great food! Great Service! Before I knew that they delivered directly, I was using uber eats. The first few times were good. Then last week I had a bad experience. The uber driver picked my food up, and instead of driving from the deli to my apt in Carle Place, she kept driving further and further away into hempstead. An hour later uber cancelled the order. So I called 2nd street deli to find out if the driver actually picked up my food. They said yes. So the driver kept my food for herself (prob bc the food is so good). They asked me if I'd like to reorder the food and that they would deliver it. Of course I agreed and 30 minutes later the delivery guy arrived. But it wasn't just anyone...it was the owner! He apologized (which he didn't need to because it's not their fault) and wouldn't accept my tip! Top notch service. I just ordered from them directly. The food arrived hot and in 30 min. 2 days a week I am home with my 8 month old and love ordering a breakfast and a lunch sandwich to get me through the day. 2nd street gourmet has been my go-to.

Nice setting with lots of room. Great architecture in an older building. Food is good especially the cobb salad and real Italian sandwich. Not a fan of their potato chips. The staff is helpful and friendly.
