2ND AVE DELI HAS THE BEST FOOD !

After seeing Facebook reviews online claiming that their pastrami sandwich surpassed Katz's, I decided to bring my coworkers here and give this place a try for lunch. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. The sandwich was rather mediocre, and the portion size for the hefty $30 price tag left much to be desired—I barely felt full. For an authentic pastrami experience, I'd recommend heading to Katz's instead.

A place to go for a pastrami sandwich. It's smaller, but very cozy with great service from the staff!

A hidden GEM .... Utterly delicious. Kosher. The ambience & quality of the food is top notch. Stumbled onto this place by walking by on Christmas Day ... it is now a destination in my "go to" places!!!! We had ... hot pastrami - hard salami - latkes - tomato/cucumber salad - cabbage & pickles - house gratis blue & white cookies- chocolate babka - and I haven't even mentioned the fabulous house spicy mustard or French fries. A hidden spectacular gem!!!!!!!

A cure for your deli cravings. The matzo ball soup warms your palate for a juicy bite of the pastrami sandwich. I guess the coleslaw and the two types of pickles count as vegetables. 😉 The splash of chocolate soda at the end is a nice touch.

2nd Avenue Deli is an institution in my family. Every time we come to NYC we stop by for a bite. I am very partial to pastrami and corned beef and find that they have amongst the best deli sandwiches in the city. I love the old school diner feel and their half sour pickles are to die for. If you’re a fan of the salted, cured meats, 2nd Ave Deli is for you.

2nd Ave Deli never disappoints. Sure, the sandwiches are a little pricey, but sooooo worth it. I always order the pastrami and it is always served to perfection. Their pastrami sandwich is iconic. Everything else (which is also great) is a bonus. Service was terrific. We were seated immediately and our server was attentive and wonderful. What can I say? I will always make a trip tp 2nd Avenue Deli due to its consistency and great food.
