They ruined a whittier staple and put in a forgettable generic hotel bar. so disappointing. Sad thing was I brought my father in law promising him a good classic Italian meal, and we got generic food. They should take down the lascaries sign. Man why ruin a good thing? makes me so sad, I hate leaving bad reviews

Reeeeal classy vibes

Wow, what an upgrade! Well really it’s a whole new place so I think it should be treated as so. The atmosphere is great, very nice and a great spot for a date night. Food was good, the pizza had a crunchy crust but soft in the inside. The wings had a great flavor but didn’t overpower the chicken. Price was pretty good for the atmosphere you also get. My family showed up with a party of 21 and they sat us almost right away, great service.

Chicken marsala looked like goulash. I was shocked at the plating. Short ribs were extremely Salty. Drinks were amazing. Lucia the bartender was fantastic.

Hello 19Seventy, I'm a big Fan... First off, the atmosphere is amazing. Love that the bar area is separate from the dining area, Super Smart... They even have a cute outdoor patio ... We went for lunch and all of our plates were Delicious. We heard other guests comment on how happy they were with the food and service... We are planning to go back with friends and enjoy happy hour. You should give it a try. It's the best kept secret...

Seeing some of these bad reviews of this restaurant and I just had to write a good one. I think people are upset that 19Seventy isn’t a family style restaurant like it used to be. When it was just Lascaries the food and atmosphere was mediocre at best. However now with the renovations, menu changes ext. they are definitely in the fine dining category. If your still looking for a mediocre Italian chain restaurant I suggest going to Buca Di Beppo…Seems like that’s more of the speed some of these reviewers are looking for. My wife and I dined here for the first time a few months back. As a chef I’m always looking for inspiration and love to try to go to new fine dining restaurants monthly and 19Seventy did not disappoint. The food was amazing, we had the Rigatoni a La vodka and the Alfredo Chicken Pizza which tasted amazing. The atmosphere is top notch and the drinks were amazing as well. The employees were all respectful and attentive. Oh and their Tiramisu was one of the best ones I have ever had! From my experience this place is doing everything just right! I have reservations to dine in again this month and can’t wait to try something new!
