Beijing Duck House

Since it's going to be a dragon year, I thought to celebrate it in the traditional way. Reservation highly recommended. I came here with my friend and ordered on the phone and a robot came and delivered the food for us on our table. Fully automated experience was interesting. The robot in a very cute, speaking in kids voice in Mandarin. The atmosphere is very traditional northern Chinese. It was nice, not too crowded at least when we reached here at noon. Since everything is managed by a robot you don't have to give any tips . Though if you need anything there are people who will come to you. I really enjoyed the authentic peking duck, with spring onion, cucumber and sweet bean sauce with thin crepes rolled around the fillings - the whole duck comes in two plates, condiments and soup. 12 pieces of crepes which isn't going to be enough so we ordered another plate. Then napa cabbage with vinegar, duck soup, little lamb skewers, and sweet bread for dessert. While we were dining they served soup dumplings on the house, which was a very nice gesture. Overall, I enjoyed the whole experience. You got to know the dishes and for that you need to have a friend who is actually from China. It is an expensive one if you order peking duck. My first time here and would love to try their other dishes too.

My husband and I had dinner there last night. Some food was just alright, some food was terrible, such as the roasted lamb, it was fatty lamb meat stir fried with big a mount of spring onion and cilantro in two inches long. Tastes salty but nothing else. This was not the worst part. We both woke up in the middle of the night at 2am with rumbling stomach. And I was all swelling the next morning. Apparently there was something in the food makes us sick, is it not clean? Is there too much artificial ingredients? We don’t know. I just know that we will never ever go there again. 我和我的老公昨晚一起去他家点了三个菜，量非常小，味道也一般。机器人送餐的餐盘其实有点脏。 不过这不是最让我写这个评论的理由，我一般很少花时间去评论我们吃过的饭店。 我们半夜两点都开始觉得胃不舒服，两点到四点两个人都无法入睡，我第二天整个人都水肿了。我们不知道是卫生问题还是添加剂问题，我们的是我们都不会再去了。

If you go for duck, it's going to cost you $79.99 for a whole duck in 2 plates, condiments and soup. For us the duck portion was small, despite the skin was fried crispy. 12 pieces of crepes isn't going to be enough. Another order of that costs $8 ($7 online). Duck sauce costs another $5 ($4 online). Soup was fine as expected. Environment was nice and not crowded on weekdays. No tip required as robot took care of the serving.
