It's definitely going to be a love it or hate it visit. For me it was a trip through time. I was perhaps less taken by some of the newer exhibits and would have liked a little more history, but am perhaps older than most visitors. An extensive shop is available after visiting too.
I truly experienced the war hammer
I've spent hundreds of pounds on the books. Even more on the models and paints. Countless hours of reading. And all for what. So they can change it when they feel like it making all that time spent pointless. Then to top it off ban anyone on social media who criticised a clearly stupid move. They can't even be bothered to comment on the mess they created. I won't be buying anymore from them. A real shame ad I've been a part of it for over 20 years.
Excellent for all Warhammer fans whether it's 40K, 30K, AoS, Middle Earth and so on although definite emphasis on 40/30K. Loads of great displays with thousands of minis on show depicting the great battles of the lore. The reason I have given 4 is because a lot of the displays have dust on them as they are open topped and don't look as good as they could. I was also surprised that there is no celebration of what's new or up and coming. I expected for the world HQ flagship exhibition site that there would be the chance to see the the future models of each game to promote them but there was nothing. The shop too was large but I expected that to be stocked with more things and not be so empty, and the warhammer world exclusives were also scant. Overall an excellent day to be had but think more detailed tribute to warhammer, than World HQ celebrating the franchise past present and future. Bugmans Bar was good. The food was good and I recommend the Lord Brock ale. The gaming hall was busy too and it was good to watch some of the games.
As an avid Warhammer collector this is our place of pilgrimage. Best place to fill your plastic addiction.
