Horrible service. Racist waiter. Kicked us out and didn’t allow us to order drinks; we are very rudely kicked out. Don’t go here ever.

Me and my friends had the worst day at this place. We planned to have cakes and coffee in store while seated at tables - but since we heard good things about the menu we also decided to do some extra takeout to enjoy at home later. And since the takeout orders are take at the front and the seats are placed at the back, we ordered takeout first and took them inside, planning to to get our in-store cakes and coffee. But the waiter, very rudely, refused to take our second in-store orders and very aggressively asked us to leave, because apparently we “ordered takeout”, and that made us not worthy to sit in their store anymore. At the time the store was very vacant with multiple empty tables, we walked 20 minutes to this place so we were very thirsty, and all we wanted to do was get coffee and cake at a table - but no! We were not even treated like regular customers even though we literally purchased $20 worth of items already. This is the worst place, worst service, and to be honest, the cake are not even that good - the filling of the carrot cake tasted spoiled. I have told all my friends about this. Not coming ever again, not in a million years

the waiter inside rudely kicked us out because we didn't order after seated. but there was no sign telling customers to order after seated if you want to dine in. my friend and I ordered the desserts at the counter and went in the room inside to get seated. We wanted to order some drinks, but the waiter there just rudely told us to leave without explaining anything. I will never come back here again. The store shows no respect to me and my friend.

This is a classic NYC experience! Get a table and enjoy your dessert with coffee or liquor

Veniero’s pastries are so delicious! Only thing I wish is that people ordering pastries could sit down and eat there, we had to eat at a local park nearby.

The wait for a table left us feeling frustrated, as the staff seemed inattentive to our needs. Watching another couple waiting to pay without assistance added to our disappointment. Even after being seated, the service remained neglectful. In hindsight, we should have chosen another bakery but we were already weary from walking and the weather was cold. The strawberry shortcake and chocolate mousse we ordered were both disappointing. The strawberry shortcake was dry, overly sweet, and tasted stale, like something from a low-quality supermarket. Similarly, the chocolate mousse lacked the expected quality and tasted cheap. Regrettably, I fell ill later that night, leading to a sleepless and uncomfortable experience.

Speaking on behalf of the bakery, as someone who has somehow managed to sample almost everything at least once, this is the best bakery in NYC. While my Baba always wants a canoli, I enjoy their fruit tarts and their perfect cream. My father cannot go without a slice of the Sicilian Cheesecake and would buy the whole giant wheel if we let him. The assorted cookies (especially the rainbow cookies) and biscotti are also great. It is a must go if you are in the neighborhood and need a treat. Shout-out to the tiramisu cake we bought for my brother's birthday. Soaked in espresso, perfect marscapone layers and fresh lady fingers. They even did a quick writing job for us. Thank you for all the great treats!
