Turkey Leg Hut

A group of us went to Turkey Leg for lunch shortly after arriving in Houston. We sat outside, which is perfect when the weather is nice. The only issue we ran into here was with flies. Food wise, everything was great and the portions were fairly large. Additionally, we all had drinks, which were good as well. They have a pretty cool drink menu. No complaints here. The servers were friendly as well. Atmosphere wise, it was pretty laid back. There was a DJ playing music which, for an outdoor setting, was fine. You could still hear everyone talking with the music going. 10/10 would recommend.

I flew from Illinois! And was so disappointed Turkey legs was cold got it heated! And it taste old like it’s been cooked days before! Wasn’t fresh at all! chicken rice over cooked must of been reheated over and over, service was horrible, it wasn’t packed and our server diamond never came back to our table! Horrible experience and could spent $80 on better food in Houston will never recommend

Visiting Huston from Ny i had to pop in and see what the hype was about. I was not let down food atmosphere and the service was A1 ya herd me! I will definitely be back!

I was highly disappointed with my experience here. I reside in Washington, D.C. and heard about The Turkey Leg Hut years ago. I decided to visit Houston for my 39th birthday which was on April 5th. First and foremost I ordered the seafood Alfredo smoked turkey balls and the waiter brought out big boudin balls, which were burnt and looked very unappetizing. I alerted him to the mistake and he said that particular app was discontinued three months ago like I was supposed to know. I recommend the menu on the website be updated to reflect that. For my entrée, I ordered the Florentine turkey leg and it wasn't good at all. The flavors were not a good combination and the shrimp were extremely salty. I ate two bites and was done. I told the waiter, who recommended the Florentine turkey leg, I didn't like it. He didn't offer a discount or anything. His attitude was nonchalant. My sister order the turkey stuffed baked potato. The cheese on top was hard and burnt to a crisp. If should've never made it to our table in the first place. My mother ordered the swamp fries and some of the turkey pieces were hard. My other sister ordered the catfish and which was just mediocre. Furthermore, the outdoor tables were sticky and the chairs are old and rusted. Another waiter saw me looking at the table and I explained that it was sticky and he said all the tables were that way because of the paint. Well, if that's the case I suggest the tables be repainted with a different paint! Our waiter did wipe off the table when I asked. Lastly, the bathroom was dirty and had cracks in the flooring which caused me to almost fall. In conclusion, I believe The Turkey Leg Hut is overhyped.
