Very impressed with Radio Room from the moment I walked in! Great retro-chic diner decor with a lovely outdoor dining area and upstairs deck with views. Went for brunch and they have an excellent cocktail menu including zero-proof options. Creative and delicious food. The scando sando was unique and highly recommended. Attentive service to top it all off. Must try this place!

Best chicken sando ever! So good I bit my tongue. No joke. Great staff, lovely food options and drinks to brag about.

The outdoor patio is fun. Not a big selection if you have food allergies, which was a bit of a bummer, but that's alright, still a fun place to hang out with friends for drinks

Radio Room is a very charming place with an old-timey vibe. I came here to see a jazz show, and despite there not being a stage, etc. it is still a great place to see a show. Patrons were very quiet and respectful of the performers, making for a great concert experience. In line with their old-timey vibe, their dishes harken back to an earlier era, featuring items such as eggs remoulade as an appetizer. There are burgers on offer, as well as smoked chicken wings, and a single dessert item (cinnamon roll). Food is better than average, but not outstanding. Service is very laid back, but not inattentive. Staff is very friendly, and enjoy listening to the music between customers. Parking is a pain, as street parking is the only option, and most nearby streets have time-limited signs posted. Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian options

This place must survive off of the uniqueness of its interior, which really is a flashback to the early 60s. While that was wonderful, the service at Radio Room was horrendous. It wasn’t bad because the staff were not friendly; it was bad because they were the most INATTENTIVE staff I have EVER experienced. I think the staff there are just counting on the fact that this place must be written up in all the tourist guidebooks about visiting Alberta Street in Portland. They do not actually have to try to do anything worthwhile while they are on the clock! We had to ask for a SPOON to eat soup…twice. And before that, we had to ask to even order food (because the server took our drink order and then walked away and didn’t come back for a half an hour!!!). They hadn’t even asked if we wanted to order food along with our drinks. Really??!?!? Then, after our first drink, we had to yet again get the attention of someone to order more. We were just asking to spend our money and it was difficult to do that at this place!! SO BE ADVISED: in Portland, where there are MANY places that have delicious food and drink, and even atmosphere, avoid this place and go somewhere where you will get your money’s worth.
