This review is for the brunch; the food is NOT worth it nor the service the food was cold the eggs were watery the biscuits were hard and looked fried! you can put a small brunch buffet however make people WANT to return. We had to wait 17 minutes for someone to ask if we would like something to drink or be acknowledged for that matter.

We had a big party for Easter brunch. The food was extremely good. Bacon plentiful and not greasy, waffle bar, all southern breakfast fixings, delicious mimosas, salad options, donuts, muffins. I’m definitely going back!

Heist Brewing is one of those breweries that is trying to figure out if it’s a beer themed restaurant or a micro brewery. The food is pretty darn good pub fare, but the beer is a bit below par. I tried a Dunkel that was just really not good at all and didn’t finish it. Looking in their Brewhouse behind the glass, you see some mold on some of the refrigeration lines, etc. That really just needs to be spotless if you’re a production brewery - those off flavors are contamination in the fermentation area. Real good place to hang out - great vibe - packed with hundreds of folks, but you can get much better beer elsewhere in Charlotte.

Went to the location 25 minutes before the kitchen closing, on a FRIDAY NIGHT…and they refused to make us any food (1 pizza)…what a joke, I will never go back, and I will tell my friends and their friends to never go back.

Visited in October 2014. After touring Birdsong, Triple C, and NoDa, I was thoroughly impressed by their beers. Among these, Heist stood out with the best brews. The brewpub itself was quite the quintessential establishment, which is perfectly fine. The bartender was particularly memorable for her delightfully dry and sardonic humor—she was simply endearing. Heist Brewery would certainly be on my list for a repeat visit should I find myself in Charlotte again.

My wife and I came here for an improv comedy show - much fun! - and I was stoked to finally get to try the food here. I’ve had their beer many times and my first IPA was theirs, but never really hung out to catch the vibe or eat. We started with the beer cheese pretzels and the beer cheese was easily the best beer cheese I’ve ever tasted. It was a combination of a bunch of cheeses and was perfectly gooey and tasty. It had a nice crust on it from the broiler and I promise you there wasn’t any left when we finished. I then had the Korean Smoked Pork Belly Tacos and they were fire! Damn! Out of this world good. The coleslaw meshed so well with the pork belly and kimchi sauce. It was tangy and smooth and just delicious. I wanted to eat some more. My wife didn’t eat but she did enjoy a couple of cans of cider. Not theirs but from a brewery in Raleigh. Orange You a Hippie was the name of it (semi-dry, orange peel and hibiscus). I took a sip and it was quite tasty. I had two glasses of their Pick’n Series sour (cranberry, pomegranate, and lime), one glass of their Friendly Competition (nice German-style lager), and a glass of their Coast to Coast Itinerary (West Coast IPA) and all were delicious. We sat outside on the patio after the show and enjoyed the warm spring evening. I’ve always enjoyed their beers, and now that I’ve tasted their food, they have solidified their spot as my fav brewery in the QC
