Bland, cold, sad tasting, and overpriced food.
I highly recommend the food here. I’m a huge fan of Rubens and other classic deli sandwiches. I would say this is one of the best classic Rubens I’ve had, although a little bit pricey. Hope to visit again in the future.
Everything is unbelievably delicious. EVERYTHING. Best brisket, best matzo ball soup, best cookies, best EVERYTHING.
My husband and I do a lot of traveling and in each city we visit, we make an effort to find a Jewish Deli to visit and experience that city's delicatessen cuisine. Needless to say, Dingfelder's did not disappoint! The food was fabulous (both in size and flavor) and the restaurant personalities even more so. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with the owner and getting to know his family history, where each dish's recipe originated from, as well as getting to know his local community through his eyes. If you're traveling through Seattle and want to ensure you get an excellent (and hearty) authentic Jewish meal, please make sure you visit this deli ~ you will NOT be disappointed! :)
Food was excellent. Preserved the latke, Rueben sandwich and pastrami sandwich. Portion size was great. The latke was crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside. The apple sauce was sweet but not too sweet. The sandwiches are shareable and came with sides of coleslaw and potato salad. They were freshly made and not just heated up. Why on a Saturday and we were the only people there and so could sit anywhere we wanted. The owner was sitting on another table and helped us order. Great guy and super friendly. Service was good. They also had a black and white cookie for tasting. We didn’t order it because we were too full but it tasted good. It was more like a softish cake like cookie than a hard cookie but it was good. Would definitely order it next time. Overall place was great. Very reasonably priced. We’ve been looking for a Jewish deli in Seattle and will 100% return or order take out.
