Coopers is good. Terry Black’s is better. What to get: Brisket, sausage, Mac and cheese. Cost: $20-30 Coopers is good, especially for how close it is to everything… but I’m not kidding when I tell you how Terry Black’s is the best BBQ in Austin. I highly recommend going to both, but if I had to pick one, it would be Terry black’s.
Very friendly staff, pick out the selection of meats you want, beef brisket and jalapeño sausage (not spicy for me) dipped in sauce yes please , most of us couldn’t finish all the food though so be prepared to bring some home. Make sure to grab some of their sides I had the jalapeño Mac and cheese (not spicy)and the pecan pie was amazing. Soft drinks when you checkout and you can grab a beer at the bar after your order. Grab a tshirt bit pricy at $30 though
Downtown Austin BBQ. Lines are short, and the food is good. Has a bar to hang out at, and common tables. A great starter place if your in Austin to get some good BBQ. I'm closer to the other Cooper's in New Braunfels and Lano locations so that is my standard, but I'm in Austin, looking for BBQ, this is where I go
I will be dreaming about my meal here for a very long time. Great meat, great sides, and great vibes.
Not sure how it compares to other BBQ places in the USA but compared to Europe, it’s a completely different level. Food was awesome, staff welcoming and helpful and all guests seemed to have a great time
