Excellent food. I had a combo plate that contained pasta, ravioli, and lasagna. For dessert, Italian cream cake. Stuffed myself, but I loved it. The place has a great history. Wait staff can tell you all about owners and the famous customers who have been regulars.
We moved to Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin from Dallas 12 years ago, where the dining options are a little on the limiting side. So a trip to Dallas is always a fun food experience for us. We try to mix in old favorites with a little new eating options. You forget sometimes how good the folks of the metroplex have it. We went to the original Campisi's Egyptian Room on Mockingbird. The restaurant has a long history, but for me, it has been one of my favorite places for 45 years. It never disappoints. On this night with friends, we ate crab claws and pizza that was delivered with the same consistency that brought back memories of all the great meals over the years. We were also lucky to have Lindsey as our server, who couldn't have given us a better dining experience along with the great food. Our visits don't always allow us to hit all our faves, but I can not imagine that after Saturday night, Campisi's won't always be in the rotation.
The Best Italian Lasgne outside of Cicero Illinois.
Food was mediocre at best. I first ate there in the 70s and food used to be wonderful. I think it got sold, or maybe attention/energy focused on franchised locations. Won't be going back. Too expensive fora square Domino's.
Friday night busy ,fast service friendly wait staff . Food is worth 30 to 45 min wait, although ours was only 10 min .
Came here with my fiancé to eat and most of the noodles in my dish were raw and undercooked to the point where they were still stuck together. The waitress we had was rude and demeaning when I brought this issue up as if I was complaining just to get something free. I told her not to worry about it I will pay full price. I paid full price but I will never return to this location again.
I have to say I have mixed reviews about this place. We had really bad service today and our waiter had an odd attitude. The pasta in our meal was uncooked. Our waiter didn’t come by to check on us for at least 20 minutes maybe more so we had to pick out the uncooked pasta. This should never happen at a restaurant specializing in pizza and pasta but if it does make it right and don’t make us feel bad for our experience. We let her know about our issue and she made us feel like we were just trying to get something out of the experience. I’m disappointed because this place is right by my office and I thought I would be a regular.
